Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. This years faire was no exeption. This is a collection of pictures from the final pub sing at the end of the day.
The 2 pictures on the right need a little explaining. The one on
top is the queen dancing upon a table.
The one on the bottom is when the king jumped up to join her.
The picture on the left is pretty funny. All through the song,
the singer kept doing the bump with the king, while he is doing
all he can to stay on the bench and keep a hold on the queen.
The picture on the right is of my daughter getting a hug from the
queen.
As you can see, the end of the faire was a rather lively affair. Lots of singing and dancing. The customary drinking of the toasts. And I think I might have even seen a few tears. It was both a happy and sad occasion. Happy because we were at faire enjoying everyones company, and sad because it was almost over. I could tell that most of the cast were as sorry it was over as I was. They really enjoyed performing for all us "normals", and it showed.
.I would like to publicly thank all the cast,
performers and vendors for a wonderful faire. My daughter and I
had a great time this year. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the
shows, shopping at the booths, eating the food, and interacting
with the cast. I even managed to pick up an appreciation of
period music during the event (rather surprising for a die hard
heavy metal headbanger)
I managed to thank most of the people personally that day after
the joust. Those that I didn't track down and thank personally, I
am sorry I missed you, and I would like to extend that thanks
here.
