Joust
Here are the 3
knights that participate on the field.

Those looking for a
big write up about the joust, sorry. I just couldn't get into the
joust this year.
Only watched the whole thing through once. I know I missed some
excitement. Actually had a rider unhorsed in one of the jousts.
In another, a horse took a tumble (thankfully both horse and
rider were ok).
From what I have watched, they do a pretty good job, just doesn't
get me like it did last year though.
Don't know if it is because the PA system they use now. Just
doesn't have the right feel with the speakers
Not as much banter between riders. I know last year they really
went at each other verbaly. You really got a sense of rivalry.
Maybe it is because none of them are part of the cast this year.
Last year Sir Lancelot was involved with a lot of the cast
program (Combat Chess, Pirate Brawl, Kings Court) so you kind of
got to know him.
Let me say though, even though I am not as enthused as last year, it is still great to see live jousting. I know the rest of the fights are scripted, but the jousting, anything can happen. The lances are real. They are not weakened so they break easily. And to do those fights with all that armor must take a lot to do. Those suits of armor are not light by any means.
So I tip my hat to the riders that are brave, bold, and stong enough to go out there and do this multiple times a day every weekend!!!
Now for a little fun at the joust. Took these before things got
started. Master Wolfe posing upon the dais. He spotted me sitting
on the opposite side of the field and started acting up as usual.
Then Master Turk showed up with his disguise
Here is more of Turk on the lower dais while the Knights are being introduced. Also happened to get my wife, daughter, and mother in the picture too. My wife is the one sitting to the left of the post in the pictures. Britny is to the right of her, and my Mom is right of her.
