Kidnapping !
Apparently the Duke is not a music lover. And the knights are not
very good at disquising themselves.
5th weekend saw a bit of a twist in the kidnapping.
Not only did the Duke kidnap the queen and her ladies in
waiting, but .....
The knights kidnapped Morgana and the Dutchess!
Needless to say, the Duke was slightly taken a-back.
After a litte confirring, the knights came up with
something for the Duke to do to free his companions.
A test of strenght!
Which the Duke easily surpassed!
Now it was the Duke's turn to set terms for the freedom
of the queen.
A song and dance :-)
After a little stretching to warm up ......
We got 'Men in Tights'
Pirate
weekend, the unthinkable happened.
There
was a kidnapping in our once safe little shire..
The main players in this little sage.
On the left are the bad guys. On the right, the poor victims.
Once the captives were secured, they were paraded through
the shire.
From one end to the other, the forces of evil displayed
their 'trophy'.
Not a knight to be found anywhere.
Once we arrived at the
chessboard, this devious plot made even more apparent
the depths of the Duke's and Morgana's evil.
The armada was in place
And the Viking hoard
And the war goats!
It seemd like the plot was flawless.
Planned and executed to perfection.
Oh wait!
What is that?
Huzzah
The knights are here to save the day!
Wait :-(
They fell helplessly into the trap.
The armada moved into postion to cut
off all escape,
and the 4 heroic, yet hopelessly outnumbered knights, were
surrounded.
Sir Percival tried to charm his way out of the situation.
It didn't work.
They were ordered to sing and dance for
the villians amusement.
After some planning and preparation . . .
They sang 'Men In Tights" !
While doing what could loosely be described as a chorus line.
After seeing this display, the bad guys
decided to free the prisoners.
I think they realized that they had not estimated their opponents
properly.
(they realized that there was no challenge there and any
further activity would only be a waste of time)
But....
Our heroes were not off the hook yet!
It seems that the queen and her ladies in waiting were
not pleased with the fact that
the knights allowed them to be captured in the first place..
They chased them to the pirate ship, where they continued
to pummel them with their own weapons.
