11/09/1986......Erie Civic Center, Erie, PA - the Constictor tour.
This was another solo concert for me. Rode in with friends. Vinnie Vincent was completely forgetable. Totally boring as were most lead guitar player led bands from this time period.
The show was awsome.
Cooper is the ultimate showman. The stage was kind of
haunted/gory looking. One problem with the layout though. I was
in section 6 down in the double letters (see the seating chart
below). The way the stage was set up, I couldn't see any of the
props on the left side.
While this was a little distracting at times, it didn't detract
from the show very much. I knew almost all the songs. Alice was
great. He had a guitar player that looked like a huge body
builder. If I remember correctly (some times get confused between
this show and the one I saw the following year), this was the
show that he did the guillotine trick.
To sum it all up, I would have to say that Alice is one of the best stage presences I have ever seen.
