Alice Cooper '99

1999-10-07 Warner Theater, Erie, PA

This show was a lot of firsts for me.
First time seeing a concert in this venue (had been there once over 10 years before to see George Carlin)
First concert with my son.
First concert I got free tickets for!

The venue was nice, though seeing the stage with everyone standing was a bit difficult.
But the accoustics were great.
Don't remember much about the opening act. All I know is it was some ex-MTV VJ and he wasn't any good.
Alice of course was a different story.
The show was good, but not nearly as theatrical as those I had seen from Alice in the 80's.
Kind of to be expected. He wasn't as big at this time, and the venue was no where near as large, and neither was the stage.
But even without the big production Alice still commanded the attention of the audience. The man is a true entertainer, and
knows how to put on a performance. Now, 15 years later, most of it was a blur. But I remember it being a great time, and my
son enjoyed it too. So that made it a great night, even if the actual details weren't enough to make an impression.
