Papa Roach
My 2nd favorite band (right behind
Maiden)
Didn't disappoint one bit. Nice song selection. The guys were
"on".
Though this time things were different. Mainly because the
audience.
The other times I have seen PRoach, it has been younger crowds
that were really into rocking out,
moshing, and just letting it all hang out. I was drained after
those shows because the energy from the crowd, and the band
giving it back.
This crowd was a bit older, and more into the drinking and
watching a show, listening to tunes kind of thing. (probably because the show was at a baseball field, on a
Saturday night in a suburb of Cleveland, and they had 3 beer
stands on the field and I think 6 other places to get beer in the
stadium. Not to mention the tickets were pretty cheap)
Nothing wrong with the atmosphere. Just a lot different than what
I was used to, or expecting.
The performance was tight, with a nice mix of old and new stuff.
Was nice to see them closing the show, and actually getting a
nice stage set-up and light show.
Usually they are earlier on the bill and just jam, without all
the fancy stuff.
I would love to see them do a full headline gig sometime though.
You know, like a 2 hour set and get the full experience.

Here is the pic the band
took from the stage.
And that is me, circled in it.
