Brad Paisley 2015

Brad Paisley 2015

2015-02-06 - Covelli Centre Youngstown OH

This was another show for the wife. This time a birthday present for her.
Besides, I've been curious about the venue. It's only an hour away, and I'd never been there before.

I had no idea what any of the groups were going to be like.

It wasn't horrible. There were a few things to keep me interested. The atmosphere was more like a rock show.
Loud, and a decent light show. Plus Brad had a big video screen behind the stage. But there were a lot of parts that just seemed repetative and boring. And since I am writing this 9 months after the concert, I don't remember a lot of specifics.

At least Brad wasn't too bad. Dude is a good guitar player. He does know how to shred. Even does a great version of Hot For Teacher.
And I actually knew some of his songs. And playing the music video on the screen behind for a few really helped.
That said, there were still some spots that just seemed to drag for me.
Though, my wife had fun, and that was the important part. This day was for her after all.

Now, a bit about the venue. Not hard to get to, though some of the roads were pretty bad.
It's about the same size as Erie. Too bad that is about the only thing that is equal.
Parking is in a lot, quite a decent walk away and was $20. Erie is a garage across the street for $5
The seats were hard and uncomfortable. Also very narrow and squished together. Even worse than Erie before the remodel.
That said, if there is a show I want to see going there, I would make the trip. (most of the shows I go to are GA floor anyway, so seating doesn't matter)

I still don't care much for country audiences.
People were constantly going back-and-forth from their seats, to their seats. In front of me, behind me, in our row. It was really annoying.
I thought the reason you pay that much to go to a concert, was to actually watch the concert.
Pictures and videos I took can be found on this page.
