This is Britny's 2nd model. It was given to her by Guillermo F. Bremer (otherwise known as BiBre on the PL BB). She was amazed that Daddy's friend sent her a model all the way from Mexico.

This is the Revell-Germany reissue of the Aurora snap together kit, so she put it together all by herself. I gave her a little help with reading the instructions and had to really bite my tongue to keep from giving her pointer on how to put it together.

This was painted mostly with spray paints. She came up with the paint scheme and I helped her.

First we painted the tusks. Then after that dried for a few days, I showed her how to mask them off with paper and masking tape. After that we primed it with black primer. This is where I started letting her use the paint. After I made a couple of passes to show her how, I gave her the can and let her go at it. By the time we got done painting it brown she was doing pretty good with the spray can. She finally got a feel for how far to hold the can so she could get the paint to cover without running. Her biggest problem is trying to hold the can in her little hands.

After it was dry for a week or so, I let her loose with my paints to put on the finishing touches. Not the color scheme I would have chosen, but I still think it looks great. She isn't limited in her color slection that's for sure.

Her current model (AMT stegosaurus) is being done solo. She's doing it all from start to finish with no help from me at all. Can't wait to see what it looks like when she's done.

Britny's Recount:
I still remember how excited and stunned I was when I found out that someone all the way from Mexico and sent this for me. It just amazed me.

Then when I actually was able to begin building, it was even better. I remember thinking how much easier it was than my first kit, and this made me even more excited.

I had a good time painting the tusks, but found it odd when I had to mask them off to paint the rest. Once I actually began using the spray paint, it all made a lot more sense to me. Not that it mattered, I was having too much fun with the paint.

I don't remember too much about painting the small details of the kit, like the nails and eyes, but I remember I had a good time picking out the colors I liked.
