| New kit, coming soon!. Sculpted by Chris Elizardo Produced by Brothers In Resin |
Kit comes in 9 pressure cast resin pieces. Base, backdrop, body, and 6 parts for the 4 arms. |
First the body. Nicely detailed and really captures the pose from the album cover. The parts unseen in the 2-D drawing are nicely extrapolated and feel totally natural. |
The likeness is dead on! It is definitely Eddie as we all know him and love him. |
The backdrop is sweet! What a great idea, and so well executed. It's all there, and in 3-D no less. Going to be such a blast to paint. |
The base itself is kind of plain. Which is perfect for this, as then all the focus is on the figure and backdrop, where it should be. |
The arm pieces are just as well detailed as the rest of the body. Be carefull with the fingers on the 2 hands though. They are very long and thin, so, while well cast, they are a little on the delicate side. The only complaint I have for the whole kit, is
that the arms are not keyed in any way. |
These 2 pics are to give you an idea of the actual size of the kit. As you can see it is a great size. Big enough for a lot of detail, but small enough to keep costs down and preserve your shelf space. |
| Overall I have to rate this as one of
the top eddie kits out there. The likeness is great. Has tons of detail. The diorama aspect with the backdrop is the icing on the cake. The parts are very well cast, with no voids and barely any seems to speak of. And what few there are pretty much lie on natural seems for the clothing. Other than the challenge of putting the arms together, then onto the body, there is very little construciton to worry about, and you can get right to the fun of painting this bad boy. |
