I guess we
will start off with the Taarna figure first.
 
As you can see, most of the figure is all one piece
The likeness is pretty good.
And the sculpt is really pretty nice.
 
 
I do have a little work to do straightening the sword.
I got 2 with this kit. One bent but with some nice sharp
detail.
The other nice and straight, but kind of soft on detail.

Now, on to the
bird.
6 pieces. Body, head, and 4 wings/
  
Very nicely detailed base.
The only drawback of that, is that it really makes the
bird look kind of plain.
But that is how it was drawn in the movie. So in that
regard, it is pretty much dead on.
 
  
 
 
 
I got 2 of each wing in the bag that I bought.
Which is good, since they are pretty much missing the
locating pins.
So I have a little extra to play with when it comes to
trying to drill and add some pins myself.

The little pieces.
 
Technically, these should be up with the other parts for
the bird, but I thought they fit best here.
Going to have some work to do seperating these and
cleaning them up. But it should be too bad.
 
The blanket.
 
I've got a little putty and sculpting work to do with the
saddle bags.
But that is what modeling is all about.
 
 
I also got 3 of the scabards.
Not sure which one I will end up using.
The only thing missing from my kit,
are the reins.
Will have to fabricate something when I get that far.
