John was also a prolific model builder and collector. After his
passing, his family enlisted an auction house to liquidate that
collection. They even set up at Wonderfest 2017 to help promote the auctions    The auctions started closing around the middle of june 2017 and those of us at The Clubhouse spent quite a bit of money buying as many as we could get. As can be seen in this thread. I can't remember how many kits were for sale but between the finished kits and unstarted kits there were well over 1000. Here are some pictures from that thread of the kits in the second batch of auctions that sold. |
