Where I Keep and Work on My Kits

Paint Cart

My workshop
Here is the cart I designed and built to hold my modeling supplies.

Now let's take a look at what all is on it.
The whole thing is on 4" swivel casters. I am glad I went heavy duty on those, as there is a lot of weight on this.

My workshop
The main feature of this side is the craft paint storage.
Everything is easy to see and organize
and I designed it with enough room to add more paint.

The bottom shelf is for things I don't use as often.
(or at all, like my sculpy and pasta roller)
My workshop
This side holds a bunch of odds-and-ends that get occasional use.
Silly-putty for masking, paint markers, sandpaper, clamps
sponges, and painters tape

My workshop
On this side we have my gouache paints, pastels, Testors
my Reaper bottled paints, fluid acrylics and my spare brushes.
As well as some of my spare dremel bits.
My workshop
This side is mainly watercolors.
And my needle files.

My workshop
The top has all the glues and putties.
From left to right - Testors tube glue in that plastic case.
Kicker behind it. Super glue, 2 part epoxy, more putty for masking.
Mini hot-glue gun and glue sticks. Q-tips, various types of Aves,
safety solvent, magic sculp.

I am so glad I built this.
It frees up so much work space. Makes everything easy to access.
It also made me dig through all my boxes, totes, and drawers to find all my tools and supplies.
Some of which I bought years ago, and forgot I even had. Now it is all out and visible.
Easier to tell when I am getting low on something so I can restock.

There are still a few minor additions I plan to make some time down the road.
Like along that long flat side of the top box I want to install a hold for all my forceps, tweezers, pin-vices
scribes, and straight edges.

My workshop
Well, I got the tool holders installed. I needed one for screwdrivers, and since it was a 3-pack, I put the other two to use here.
