Drawer for Workbench

Drawer

I finally decided I needed a drawer for my workbench.
After using it for a year, I realized there are lots of little things I access frequenly enough that putting them away is a paint.
But if I leave them out, they get in the way, get knocked over, or just generally agrivate me.

Pretty sure, the hardest part of the whole project, was finding a drawer I liked, then finding one at a reasonable price.
Took me a few hours of searching to narrow things down and find what I wanted.
Then, of course it got hung up in transit and took almost 3 weeks to get to me.

If you remember, when I built the bench, there is a cross-piece right
where the drawer would be going.

So, I had to cut some blocking, and attach it to the underside of the bench, to give me a mounting surface for the drawer. Good thing I keep plenty of lumber on hand for just such situations.

Oh yeah. Pro tip. If you have any kits in progress on your bench.
You might want to move them from the edges before running a bunch of screws in with an impact. Vibrations might cause them to shake off the table and hit the concrete floor.

And there it is.

Now to fill it with dremel bits, toothpicks, glue,
and various other things I use constantly.
