Here is the bench I built to hold my as yet non-existent spraybooth.
Now let's get it wired up.
The plan is to intall receptacles on the back of the table, controlled by switches on the front of the table.
That way, once I get everything all set up, I can turn everything on and off by flipping the switches on the front.
First thing is to mount the box for the switches, and run wire.
Then add the box on the back for the receptacles
Wire up the receptacles
Screw them in, and add the cover.
Can't forget a bracket to hold the extra wire. The table is mobile so
the power comes from a heavy guage extension cord, so need somewhere to
hold the excess.
The end of the extension cord cut off and fed into the box, to be hard wired.
The worst part of the whole project, wiring 4 switches, folding all that wire neatly into the box, and mounting those switches,
Tada!
A closer look at the shelf I added underneath to hold my new air compressor
And a bit of foreshadowing on what the next page is probably going to be all about.
As you can see, I added some cleats to the shelf to prevent the compressor from walking around.
Either while running, or while I move the table around on the uneven floor I have in my basement.
And here is quick video of the switch in action.
Sorry I forgot to turn the TV down.
