Boss of the South Pole

Got this from one of the sculptors on the Clubhouse - Kevin Hayden.

This well cast kit comes in 8 pieces.
I forgot to take a shot showing the size of the kit, but it stands about 5" high when assembled.

The gun has a good amount of detail on it, and having the strap included really is a nice touch.
Not sure if I am going to use it for the gun, or the polar bear tooth necklace.

The feet are also nicely detailed
and have been keyed so you are sure to get them attached properly for the kit to stand on it's own.

The head has more good details and really comes across with some attitude.
Even the hat has some great texture to it, and the half cigar in the beak is the perfect touch.
It is also keyed for a perfect fit on the body, so the texture matches up.

The tail, is just that. The tail.
And fits reasonably well with the body.

The body contiues with the fun texture details. And an insane amount of definition and depth.

Here you can see the female keys for the feet.
And the only area on the whole thing that is lacking in detail at all. The very bottom between the legs.
Not sure if is from clean-up after molding, or by design.
Either way, it really doesn't matter much, as once the feet are attached, you really don't see that area anyway.

Overall, a very nice kit.
Well cast, no voids or bubbles. No flash that I have noticed yet.
Will see if I spot any parting lines once I get ot the primer stage.
The combination of the great texture and the well defined anatomy should make this lots of fun to paint.
The building should be pretty straightforward. A little putty work here and there. And maybe just a bit of resculpting in a couple places where the molding cleanup was a bit heavy.
It doesn't come with a base, but I have an idea for that. But will keep it to myself for now.
