Solid cast resin.
They make for some nice fun busts to paint for around $10 each.
This one has lots
of nice detail. Should be a blast to paint..
Decided to go with one of the cheap bases I got at WF
also.
Here they are with some primer on them.
And here they are with a
little base coating done.
First, I preshaded some areas with some blue and purple
Then I went over it with some brown watercolors to darken the overall appearance
and to act as a sort of wash as wel.
The base got a light dusting of white spray paint to give it it's highlights.
Then it too got hit with brown watercolors to give it color and depth.
Just a little more painting.
Painted in the lettering, then started to dirty up the banner.
A little dark purple washes in the bandana, finally painted the eyepatch, and detailed the teeth a little.
Getting close. Been doing the detail work.
Some pastels in the facial details. the hair, and some other little bits on the kit.
Just need to dulcote it, then do some brass painting on a few bits.
Well, I couldn't find any brass, so I went with gold.
He's finally done. Will do a page with lots of pics after WF.
