WONDERFEST 2018
Ok, here is my tale of WF2017 from my own
perspective.
For those who do not know, that is me on the right and
my daughter on the left. (old photo don't have one from this
year)
THURSDAY
For those who have read some of my previous
reviews, this one is going to be nothing like previous years.
First of all, I was really under-the-weather for the show. A
month before this I was hospitalized with pneumonia. And less
than a month after this
I was hospitalized for a week after thoracic surgery to remove
over 2 liters of fluid off my right lung.
With that in mind, you can imagine I was somewhat slowed down
during the show. It also took me until the end of April to write
this, so things are no where near fresh in my mind.
I drove down to Columbus and from there, Britny
drove. Which was a huge help. That much driving in my condition
would have been very rough.
I had no entries, so I was traveling light. That meant we could
both squeeze our stuff into Brit's little Spark.
The trip was uneventfull. We got to the hotel,
got checked in, and unloaded the car.
We actually got our room, with no issues. Then we just hung out
and visited with people. Then went and found a local pizza place
to check out.
Everyone ended up calling it an early night. Like around midnight
:o !
FRIDAY
Ok here is where it all blurrs together. Due to
my limited state, my mind was more focused on keeping myself
upright and enjoying the moment, rather than
storing the memories of the weekend.
Between that, and the long period of time that it took for me to
write this, there are very few specifics that I do remember.
I know I had lots of fun (as always).
I know I bought a lot of stuff.
I spent a lot of time at the embassy, I did make it to the lobby
for a bit, and we did hit Cult's.
Can't remember any specifics from any of those.
I know we found a good pizza place. We ate at the hotel
restaurant, and it was good, though expensive. I know we drove
quite a ways to get to Bob Evans, as the one close to the hotel
is aparently closed for good.

MONDAY
Of course, the next morning wasn't as much fun.
Packing. Loading the car. Checking out. Last bit of hanging out
before hitting the road.
The drive back was pretty uneventful. Just long and boring. But I
got home around 6 PM, so it was still light when I unloaded the
car.
In summary
I had fun, but don't remember much of anything.
