Sunday,was a light shopping day. Not for lack of trying. Some of the things I thought about buying were gone by the time I went back for them, or the dealer had packed up already.
I did finally get the Elric kit from Resin Dust Kits. I've been wanting it for a couple years. First I saw it, it was sold out. Last year by the time I saw it, I was broke. This year, I managed to buy the display build, as it was the last one he had.
My final purchase was a special one. It was a build-up from Rick Evans. Rick was a long time friend who passed away this year. Steve Iverson from CultTVman purchased Rick's collection after the family had taken what they wanted.
He brought the build-ups to the show so Rick's friends could get some of their favorite pieces.
I looked on Saturday, and there were easily at least a dozen that I would have loved to have owned. But I couldn't afford to buy them all, and I really don't have space to display them either.
So, I opted to wait until Sunday and let things thin out a bit more. I figured fate would help me decide what I should own. And it did.
Most of what I thought about were gone by Sunday afternoon. But the PL tyrannosaurus was still there. I had really enjoyed the pics Rick posted of this back in 2014. He painted it like Devil Dinosaur, which is a comic I loved as a kid as well.
So I am now the proud owner of this piece of art.
