As with last year, my daughter found something to get me out of the hotel. Her, her boyfriend and I went off for some bourbon tasting
She had asked me about it earlier when she was getting ready to make
reservations, we ended up going to 2 distilleries this year. Doing 3
last year was a bit much and really crunched our time.

The first stop was Old Forester.
Nice looking place. This was more tour than tasting. The tour took so long that the tasting was almost an afterthought.
Sadly, the most interesting part of the tour was kind of glossed over. And that was them making their own barrels on site.
The bourbon was ok but nothing I would want to buy.

Next up was Evan Williams
This was a tour and a tating. Fancy place downtown. Had a big fancy
showroom with lots of merch to buy.The tour was cool, kind of immersive with old time setting, pictures, and sounds. The
bourbon was ok, but nothing that sparked my interest. Did drop some
money in the showroom though. Got a magnet and a pen, and throw pillow
for the wife.

By now, we were getting hungry. We decided to try a local place
Troll Pub Under The Bridge
Cool looking place, that is actually next to a bridge and is below
street level. The ambiance was great. The food was very good, and the
servings were huge.
I got the mushroom swiss burger. Was excellent.
I couldn't finish it all. Ended up leaving almost half the fries on the plate.
