SUNDAY
Considering the hour I went to bed, I woke up at a decent hour. Around 9. After a shower and food I was feeling great.
Time to go hit the contest room and see how I did. I was surprised to
find all my styrene kits got merits. Some were really nice but a couple
of them were 'meh'. I was a bit shocked that Litch King didn't get a
merit, as I thought it might. It's a good thing I don't put a lot of
stock in the contest results or I might be upset. Sure, it's nice when
your hard work gets recognized, but I don't honestly care if I get
anything or not.
The contest is a deadline I use to motivate myself to actually finish
kits. Then I can bring them to the show, put them on the table and show
them off. I am much more interested in the conversations with people
about the kits, how I did this, or how they did that.
The results in no way affect how I feel about the kit, or what I did
with it. I just find some the results interesting.
After
that I hit the dealers rooms to check the Super Tiny Terrors again.
Saturday night I checked my list to what I was still missing, and write
them down to go through Terry's stuff again. I did end up finding 4
more.
Then it was around the room to see if there were any different
pieces. Then, I planned on grabbing a sandwich in the hallway for a
quick lunch. But the line was terrible.
Cannot remember exactly what I ended up eating out of my supplies I
brought, but I do know it wasn't as filling a good sandwich would have
been. Then
it was back and forth between the dealers room and contest room, taking
pics and visiting with people. Doing a bit of shopping. Etc.
Finally
the time came for them to kick us out of the dealers room. I was with
my daughter at the time so we made plans for an early diner to get it
out of the way.

Made
a run to Bob Evans and had diner. I think that was about the last time
I saw my daughter. We may have seen each other in passing but I was
visiting with people, and I think she was spending time with Michael.
He was going to Atlanta after the show for a month of training, while she was going back to Denver.

Then I went to my room to relax a bit, then start packing stuff. Like all my contest entries, and purchases.
Then I took those down to the car so I wouldn't have much to do in the
morning. This is my normal routine. Get all the little stuff taken care
of before going out and having fun.
By the time I headed to the courtyard, the party was in full swing.
One of the props in the display room was a full sized Arc of the Covenant, which opened up to be a bar.
And they had quite the crowd right at the base of the stairs to the patio.
There was a good crowd at the top of the stairs as well.

Hung out there for a while, then headed down to the lobby to hang for a while. Then called it sometime around 2-3 am..
