Dark green basecoat, then some green drybrushing.
Still looks pretty cartoony, but this is just the begining of the painting.

Here it is with a wash of pearlescent sky-blue,
then some dtybrushing of a sour-apple green

Looking better now, after a spot wash of midnight blue.

I just went in and did all the grooves and areas I wanted darkened.

Getting down to the details now.
Have the basecoat on the claws, and almost done with the body. Just one last very light drybrushing to go.

A little work on the yes. Yellow, with a brown iris.
The right side, looks better than the left, but I think I would just screw things up trying to fix the left.
