Richard Danison's Cave

This cave was so cool, that I just had to make a page just for it by itself.

I was just sitting there asking myself- "How can I take an Aurora Prehistoric scenes model to the next level"?" How can I set mine apart"? And then it hit me, Electronics! But How?

After some serious planning, I came up with this- A vintage 1970's Aurora Prehistoric scenes Cave, with a lighted firepit! Not just a steady glow firepit, but a flickering, dancing, shadow casting, eerie looking firepit for the Cave. The Electronic 9 volt circuit board drives 2 flickering LED's that light for thousands of hours. The board was professionally designed and built, so no worries there. I had to modify the floor of the cave for the circuit to fit and the firepit flame was custom made out of acylics to diffuse the light. The battery is out of sight behind the cave wall when displayed.

There are airbrushed, drybrushed, stained and washed elements of this spectacular model. Check out the paintings of the animals on the Cave wall!
