123 viewsAND THEN THERE WERE NONE.......
Finally after 2 years, 1,097 parts and 34 kits
It is completed. Now there were months when I
worked on other builds roughly around 150 but when I turned my attention back to PS it was a love\hate relationship.

I'm still deciding if I should kick John Diaz in the nuts or shake his hand. It all started with an innocent call asking to buy an ankylosuras he had on ebay, next thing I knew there were two giant boxes filled with kits on my workbench. Except for 4 kits I had John supplied every kit that completed the two sets, making him slightly crazier than a shithouse rat.

I pretty sure it's a task no one else has attempted, and if so I tip my hat to them. There were times when the seam work was ponderous. Except for the trees from the swamp
everything was painted by brush.

So stayed tuned there will be a final photo shoot with both side by side before they are split up never to be together again.
In closing I can make this statement with utmost certainty
" I will NEVER again paint one of these f##&&$$$ kits EVER!! "

P.S. Get this crap out of my house John!!!

89 viewsShould have rest of the bases within the next week or so, then I will start two complete Prehistoric scenes side by side. First up all the bases completed first then the Dino's. A special thanks to John Diaz who besides being crazier than a shithouse rat has been the architect of this once in a lifetime project. Because I'm pretty sure I'll be sick of these kits by time I'm done

81 viewsBlack \burnt umber base coat then I take an Ivory white and dry brush . Second pass I'll go a little heavier in area to break up the surface don't want the entire piece to match. Raw umber \ navy make a wash same thing not over entire piece. Dry, then a drop of yellow in the Ivory white then dry brush random pattern. Then I'll use a wash of burnt umber W\a drop of maroon to make a wash to detail areas. Last just thin some of blue to help help break up surface. Looks like a lot of work written buts goes fair

80 viewsParts inventory, still two more bags of small parts to go thru,.
Settled on this configuration for both caves. Go big or go home!
After getting rid of breaks in base, will add rocks on the inside walls
Easily the most work of any of the two set

80 viewsver notice that the right sides of the face are caved in? Was this on purpose or a production flaw? Any I corrected that with one of my mine and decided to turn her into Bettie Page. Lol. Along with the reptiles this is my least favorite.

79 viewsStarted wiring the caves decision on light placement started with white bulbs that will be cleared in yellow, red and possibly blue to make more interesting and less like a food warmer
