Aurora Canadian
instructions
For some
reason there is a lot of variation in these instruction sheets.
I am not
sure if each instruction is going to have each variation, or if
the variation is unique to certain kits. I haven't handled enough
of them to know.
The variations are minor.
Some, I didn't notice until I took that picture with all of them
together.

So, lets take a look at
them.
(we will start with the blue first)

As you can see, only 2
of the 7 instructions here share the same traits.
Lots of variation and seemingly no rhyme or reason.
I don't have the Flying Reptile yet, but I have a photo
of one with a kit that looks like
the same as the Neanderthal and Cromagnon Man.
So that means, at least 6 different types across the 8
kits. |

A little more consistency.
If I had the other 3, I could better tell if there were
some kind of pattern.
Out of the 5 I have there are 2 of one type, 2 of another
type, and a third type. |
Looking at
this, I'd hazzard a guess that the blue instructions came
first.
They are all over the place, and a lot more stuff
changing. Especially with the logo/name.
This seems to be backed up by looking at the back.
The pink lists 14 kits, which would mean 1972.
So, until I
see some evidence otherwise, I will consider the blue
ones to be 1971 instructions.
Especially since
blue has only been used with the 1971 wave kits so far,
but pink was used on later issued kits as well. |

Pink with more information
only found
on 72 issue kits so far
White
only found
on 72 issue kits so far. About the same size as the US 72
instructions but not anywhere near the same.
Random
thoughts
I have yet
to find a Canadian instruction for the 74 kits.
Aurora European
instructions

Black & White
only found
on 71 issue kits so far. These seem to be what was packaged in
the European editions.

Black
& White photocopies
only found
on 72 issue kits so far. These seem to be what was packaged in
the European editions.
Random
thoughts
Seems the European editions had a lot cheaper instrucitons
sheets.
Just B&W copies of the original 71 instructions.
And what looks like a photocopy of the 72 instruction sheet on
extra large paper. With the 'made and printed in U.S.A.' just
whited out.
