 Spinosaurus
Out of the box review!

Sculpted by Jeff Johnson
Molded and sold by Alchemy Works.
11 cast resin parts.
Head, jaw, fin, 2 arms, lizard, tree, nameplate,
and 3 part base.
|

The 3 base pieces are nice. Lots of detail, and a
volcanic theme.

The tree appears to be the one from the
Neanderthal Man kit.

The lizard / dinosaur is pretty cool all on it's
own.
|

The arms are pretty interesting, and looks like
you could
work out a way to keep them moveable if you want
to.

The back fin appears to just glue to the back of
the
assembled rex.
A look at the trunk.
I was going to do pics of the tusks also, but
they are pretty standard.

The jaw is nicely
detailed with lots of
cool, pointy teeth.
|

The head is just great.
Lots of detail and skin texture that matches the
kit.
Nice sharp pointy teeth, and plenty of them.
And just a cool menacing look to the piece.
And it looks like it will fit and swivel just
like the original head.
 |

Don't have to glue the jaw in either, if you
don't want.
It will fit and stay in place just fine all on
it's own.
 |
Overall, a really nice conversion
set.
The best one to date IMHO.
There is some clean-up to do to the pieces, but
nothing major.
A little work on the parting lines is all.
No, mismatch, voids or bubbles to worry about.
The base pieces sit nice and flat with no
warping. |
