Sixteen parts total. The breakdown:
  • -- Base (3 parts)
  • -- Head
  • -- Torso
  • -- Legs (2)
  • -- Arms (2)
  • -- Tail (2)
  • -- Mastodonsaurus (amphibian, limbs folded back, waiting for scraps)
  • -- Meal (sauropod humerus head with meat)
  • -- Tree stump
  • -- Bone
  • -- Flower

It's a whopper of a monster, 1/13 scale, meaning he's bigger than the Prehistoric Scenes Allosaurus but smaller than the T.rex.

The base measures 3 feet long, the Daspletosaurus about 29 inches long. He'd be longer if you uncurled his tail. The whole kit weighs a hair less than 9 pounds; the dino alone weighs a bit more than 3 pounds. The dino's torso and the larger part of the tail are hollow-cast resin, the rest is solid resin.

Price is $350 shipped in the United States, or $335 plus shipping outside the U.S. The shipping box is large and heavy so international shipping will be very expensive. I won't take money until your kit is ready to ship

First info from Todd
"This tyrannosaur is a particular favorite of mine because I worked on a genuine Daspletosaurus skeleton during my years as a mold maker/caster/painter in a paleo lab. This one's a whopper of a sculpture, not as big as the Aurora T.rex but a lot bigger than the Allosaurus, which is of course appropriate because it's in the same scale. The final kit will have a couple of pieces not shown here, including the meal the critter is protecting.
I'll post more updates here as I get them.
For those who'll ask, it does NOT interlock with any other kits, but it will with future original Tail Draggers."
