||This is one of the pricier
kits.Probably because it is so hard to find one with all
the pieces. The one I have was missing a few things, but
I filled in the gaps. Comes with trees that can be
assembled in a couple different ways. The trees can also
used with the Sail-back Reptile. I now have a few extra
trees, but I'm not sure how I'm going to use them yet.
Contains several small animals, birds, and other
creatures. With a 1 piece base, there isn't really any
assembly skill involved, but it should be fun to try to
paint realistically. The flying reptile is the same one
that comes in the Giant Bird. Also, the reeds are the
same as the sailback reptile.
This is the only kit in the line that does not come with
a nameplate. Maybe some day I will make one for it. It is
also one of the three kits that doesn't have any movable
parts. The others being the Tar Pit and the Cave.
The following description excerpts and picture are from a
recent auction. They are posted here with permission of
the seller who wishes to remain anonymous.
This is the original painting used for the Jungle Swamp
Aurora kit for its Prehistoric Scenes line.
The frame is 18 1/2 by 22 inches. You get to see more art
on this than the cropped down image that is on the box.
I am the second private owner and have a letter from the
original owner, Bill Brugeman from Toy Scouts, explaining
how he got it and that I am the current owner.
This art just sold on ebay again for $2000.
