Spray Bench Set Up

Here is where I left off after wiring up the bench.
Now let's set it up to actually use it..
|

First thing is to add a shelf on the side to hold the cleaning station.
When I am actively using the airbrush this sits right on the table.
But when I am not, it's nice to have it somewhere out of the way, but still easy to get to..

 Next was mounting lighting.
At first I was going to go more in the middle of the table, but after some testing
I decided to go with the front of the table. It illuminates the spray area better.
I can see what I am working on better.
Then it was just a matter of figuring out how to mount it, with all the stuff I already
had going on on either side of the table.
| Added some screws to hold all the cleaning brushes.
|
|
|
A whole bunch going on here.
First, I added the paper towel holder, because, you need a lot of them in easy reach.
Storage for various bottles of thinner and cleaner.
And a screw to hold my optivisor so I can see what I am doing.
|
A closer look at the bottle storage.
|
|
|
Feb 2025,, I added more storage to the upright.
Needed somewhere to keep the lacquer primer and thinner I started using.
Also, for the pipettes I need to transfer it to the airbrush
|
Another look at the added storage.
You can see where I added a bit more ink storage as I keep
adding to my collection of ink.
|
|
|
And a look at the shelf under the bench. With all the various supplies.
Distilled water, alcohol, mineral spirits, airbrush medium, airbrush cleaner
flow improver, and various other chemicals.
Also note the trim I added to the top of the table. Really need some kind of lip
to keep things like airbrush needles from rolling off the table during disassembly.
| And this is the chaos when in active use.
Still need to work out a good organizing system for the inks.
Just haven't found anything I like yet.
