The head pivots on a ball socket. Comes with extra battle damaged wing.
You can mount it on it's rocky base, or hang it on a string by a hook on the back.
Usually found with missing wing connectors.
Kind of dull. Pretty easy to find since it has been reissued a lot and the reissues are complete.
So builders can be happy with any version they can find.
Reissues go by Pteranodon. New Revell issue named 'Klaw'

The part on top is an Aurora piece. The one on the bottom is a Revell or Monogram. Notice that the Aurora is a lighter shade of orange.

At this time, I know very little about the company or what else they might have produced or when.
It does come with a neat backdrop that is on the displays page.

My first actual Aurora model of my adult childhood. This model comes with and extra "BATTLE SCARRED" wing, that you can use for a different look. You can either mount it to its rocky base, or hang it from a string to simulate flying There is a hook in the back of the model to tie the string to. String is included.
I have seen a lot of these that are missing the connector pieces that hold the outer wings to the body. I have 2 like that myself.
About the only part that moves on this model is the head. It swivels and pivots..

This model will also mount to the rock on the base of the three horned dinosaur. I have also been told that you can attach it on a certain part of the cave roof, but I haven't had much luck getting it to stay there.
