A Dream of
Finland
It's happened. I've finally had my first Board Now related dream. I
dreamed the I and my whole family took a vacation to Finland. It was
surprisingly temperate when we got there which was good since I
really didn't think to bring along warm enough clothes. And everyone
there was wearing really warm fur hats even though they weren't
needed that day. I went outside and looked at the blue blue sky and
took deep breaths of air and thought to myself, "I'm in Finland!" (I
used to have recurring dreams about returning to Rome after having
spent a semester there that were similar. Just BEING there was so
important. Still do sometimes).
So I realized at one point
before I woke up that I had to tell you guys where I was, especially
devilspawn & darkmage, so I scrabbled around to use someone's
laptop to get online.
I really don't think I would have
thought about a trip to Finland unless it was for you Fins.
Unless...I did have a Monty Python disc out the other day with the
Finland song...

Welcome, welcome! Whether you come in winter or in summer, you're
always welcome here!
Be prepared though; in the winter-time it
can get bloody cold, and in the summer-time it can be hotter than
Ibiza.
My brother lives in Helsinki, so if you're coming some
day, inform Devilspawn and me, we might even rendezvouz!
I know
what people might think, but 1): Were not all alcoholics. 2): There
aren't polar bears anywhere near Finland or the entire Scandinavia
(zoos excluded). 3): We're not part of Soviet Union, we never were,
and 4): We Finns are a little quiet and quite shy, but nevermind
that. We always warm up sooner or later.

Wow, that's one thing I didn't ever think I'd hear on a Buffy
board...the Finland song!!! 
Big, big Python fan here, and I used to have a severely intense
crush on Michael Palin so one time for his birthday I wrote my own
lyrics to the Finland song (called "We love Michael Palin") and
posted it on a Python board. A-hem...maybe too much information? Eh,
who cares?

Wow, i actually own a furcap. Really cold winter days i might even
use it, unless i am were people can see me. Right now it's really
hot and i am actively pondering suicide to get away from the heat.
Well not really ready for suicide but close.

fact if you plan on dreaming about us again tell me in advance and
I'll meet you there.

Thanx for the invite you two. God knows if I'll ever get the chance
to really go there, but I'm sure it would be great. It would
DEFINITELY be in the middle of summertime. Don't like the cold. So
if we were going to try to have a mutual dream gathering, where in
Finland would be best?

Hmmm... I'd say a lakeside cabin with some cool beer ('though I
don't drink the stuff) and a quiet forest. Is that an okay
dreamsetting?

We have a great cabin over here in Turun archipelago, there is a
sauna and everything. It's on an holm/islet and just about 100 m
from land. Very quiet and lots of wosy woods around. Just us and
maybe some Finnish beers like Lapin kulta and Karjala. And don't
worry Darkmage, i'll drink the beer. 
It's a pretty quiet place, except for some damn summerguests who
occasionally set up shop on the other shore, damn!
And then
when we get bored with no electricity we can go to my house, and
watch some Buffy episodes and have some totally freaky fan
discussions about it so that the rest of my family gets freaked out.
Ok, going to sleep soon and planning to dream about you
guys.

No kidding, Devilspawn? We have a summercabin just outside Rauma,
about a 100 kilometers from Turku. I was sensing a similar
presence...

the Watcher's Council and joined up with Angel Investigations, but
everyone kept asking what a "rogue demon" was.

Oh well, I didn't think I'd be a slayer for like 4 or 5
months! If the board were put up through the school year, then I'd
probably only have 2 or 3 hundred by now.
