NE GEEK EXPO 2017
11/10/17
Every year there is a local convention.
It isn't very big, but it keeps growing every year.
This year saw lots of changes.
New venue. They had it at the mall (technically the Ashtabula
Towne Square)
New date. They moved it back to after Halloween like it used to
be.
New format. They expanded from a one day show, to a two day show.

Personal thoughts on this year's Expo.
I loved the new venue! Lots of space, and
tons of potential.
Really glad about the date change as well. So much going on for
Halloween
Was a little disappointed in the shopping selection. Seemed like
there weren't as many vendors this year.
They had an awesome retro-gaming area though. Every game consol
set up with a monitor and a game.
So you could sit down and play anytime a consol wasn't already in
use by someone else.
The fact that they had the costume contest out in the mall
hallway had me scratching my head a bit. Not sure how good an
idea it was
to take that out of the Expo venue, when there seemed to be
plenty of room where they had the discussions panels.
