![]() Got the subassemblies done, and partially cleaned up. They are getting primed now, to check for more seam work, then it will be time to slap it together. |
![]() Now I have some seams to work on. |
![]() Ok, small setback. The first pass with the putty, I hadn't dug out all the stuff I usually use to texture and didn't like the results. So I tried to go back over it with another thin coat and went too thick with it. ![]() So, back to the drawing board. |
![]() Got the putty on the legs done, then added the frill. Still a little more putty work to do there, then on to painting. |
![]() Hey! Guess what? I changed my mind :-) Decided not to try and recreate my first paint job, and went in a different direction. ![]() |
![]() ![]() I sat down, and was going to paint some stripes and some accent scales on the kit. But as I was looking at it, and seeing the way the light played off the texture, I had another idea. Now I am working with some watercolors to just add in some subtle coloring here and there. Just trying to fill it in, and give it some life without overpowering anything. |
![]() ![]() A little detail work. Think I am almost done now. A little pastel work should finish this off. |
new![]() Done now. You can see the finished pics on This page |
![]() Since I change my mind on the new build. I decided to repair the original kit. Here is a quick look at the rebuilding of the broken fingers. Heated up a paper clip and sunk it into the hand for an armature. Then a little aves to form the fingers. Now I need to make the claws. |
![]() Looks ok with some paint on them. Now I just need to paint the claws and finish the base. ![]() Done now. You can see the finished pics on This page |
