Then I hit it with some black spray paint.
Need to touch up just a bit where my masking was a bit too thin.

Now I am blocking in my colors and getting things ready for the detail work.

I drybrushed the black with some dark midnight blue.
Nothing major, but enough to contrast with the shadows in the texture.

The feet were primed, then a thin coat of a tanish color. Topped with a very thin coat or orange.
The gun has been painted a very light yellow with some dark brown accents.
That will be the perfect background for the brown watercolors that are going to go over it next.
