iHobby Expo 2012
CONTEST

One of the first things you saw when you got into the show, was
the contest area.
It was my first stop, to register, and fill out the entry forms
for my 7 entries.
This contest was very different than all the WF contest I have
entered.
This was just a straight up, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place contest. Plus it
was all done by popular vote.
Once the entry deadline was met at 1 PM. Then anyone going to
look at the models could vote.
Each category was color coded. Both on the tables, and on the
tickets and the boxes the tickets went into.
You got a set of tickets and there were pens on each table.
Just write the entry number of the kit you liked on the ticket,
and put it in the box.
It was fun looking at all the kits. Not nearly
as much turn out as I am used to but
there was a decent amount there considering most had no idea
about the show until last minute.
Definitely a wide variety of subjects on display. And not nearly
the military/plane/car turnout I had expected.
Sci-Fi/figures/misc dominated the entries.
FIGURES

One thing about this. When they first put the awards out, (and I
took the pics) they mixed up 2nd and 3rd.
My Cookie kit was actually 3rd and Big Frankie was actually 2nd.
I had no problem with that, as I had them ranked that way in my
own head anyway.
