WONDERFEST 2024

FRIDAY
I got to sleep in nice and late and really catch up on my sleep. Had a horrible shower. Almost no water pressure and was only lukewarm. Not sure if it was renovation related, or the fact I was on the 8th floor.
Ate a bit, then wandered around seeing who was out and about, and how the classes were going.
I didn't take my camera, or take any pics.

I just wandered and visited until about noon. Then I met up with my daughter and Michael and we went off to some Bourbon Tasting

We finished up the tastings and met up with Ross and Bill at Craft House Pizza. This iis becoming a tradition for Friday night. They brought Blappy and Stuart along so we had a table full. There was another large group of Wonderfesters there as well. Anyway, we had a great meal and brought back leftovers for lunch the next day. I ran down to do my badge and contest entries. By this time, the line was practically non-existent. So I got all that, ran it up to my room, and brought down a few pieces to throw on the tables for the Iwata / Tag Team Meet & Greet. Back to my room again to grab a beer, and hit the meet-and-greet.

Some really cool kits, and lots of cool people to visit with. i circulated between the Iwata room, the lobby, outside the load-in doors, and the patio. I ran into Joe (barad_dur on the Clubhouse) and his wife. Chatted a bit, then drug them up to the patio to introduce him to some more people. Dude has been coming for years, and barely knows anyone. I showed her how to get to the elevator from there as she needed to go rest. After the meet-and-greet ended, I took my kits back to the room and hung out at the Embassy again.

I called it around 2 AM again as I wanted to get up early and beat the rush to enter contest entries.
