The Parasaurolophus
OOB review

As you can see from the photo above, this is another one of Dave Cockrum's designs for Aurora

This will give you an idea of how big the kit actually is.

Here are some pics of my kit.
It is either the first or second casting from the molds.

As you can see in the picture, the kit comes in 8 pieces.
(edited to add, that the kit now comes with a nameplate, and a copy of the artwork shown above)
IF you want one, ordering info is on
this page.
My completed build is on
this page (with WIP pics)

A nice big body.

2 arms

Tail

Two legs.

Amd a nicely expressioned head.

And a nice big base.
Complete with nest of eggs, egg stealing lizard and other nice details.

The parts are crisp, and cleanly cast.
The kit I got had very little flash. Just a few places with that paper-thin type flash.
Parting lines were very easy to clean up. And no air bubbles.
Though I should mention that my casting had a slight void at the tail end of the body.
my Parasaurolophus buld up
That is probably the 'pour' end of the mold and was probably just slightly underfilled.
Not really a big deal and easy to take care of.
As far as I know, Larry gravity pours his kits and does not pressure cast.
From what I have seen though, he gets excellent results.

Overall a nice kit. Good size, good value for the dollar.
If there are any drawbacks, it is that the pose makes it impossible for the piece to stand on it's own. It is way too top and side heavy and will fall over.
Also would be nice it fhre lizard was a separate piece. Then you could move it around, and it would be a heck of a lot easier to paint.
