![]() Ok. 3 years later and I am finally back to work on this one. During the painting class, I wasn't happy with the dark stripes but since I couldn't control the air pressure I couldn't really do fine lines to clean things up. Now that I have it on my own bench I can do what I wanted to do. Biggest issue was trying to mix up colors that were close to what we used in the class. I got the lines thinned down to where I wanted them. Looks a little bland here on the spray table, but after a clear coat and an oil wash it looks a lot better ![]() ![]() Now, the problem is, I waited too long to wipe off the oil wash and had to kind of scrub to get most of it off. The caused some of the paint to come off the high spots. So I am going to have to go in and try to do some touch-ups. |
new![]() ![]() Touched up the paint that I accidentally scrubbed off. Happy with the results. |
![]() ![]() Now, for something completely new for me. Creating a terrain base. I have dabbled a bit with using things like tufts of grass, but now I am taking a 170mm oval base and trying to make it look like a muddy riverbank area. I've got mud, rocks, various grasses, now to just put it all together. ![]() ![]() Not bad for a first go. |
| After the mud dried, I had to gloss it up to make it look wet. Now, it's done! ![]() |
