WONDERFEST 2022
Ok, here is my tale of WF2022 from my own
perspective.
For those who do not know, that is me on the right and
my daughter on the left.
FRIDAY
I was up pretty
early on Friday. I had a painting class to be to at 9 AM.
So, that ate up most of my day until 4 PM. Other than lunch in my room
with Brit, who was just getting ready to come down and see how things
were going.
She had had some work related stuff to take care of that morning.
After the class I went back to the room to grab a snack and hang with Britny.
Hung out on the patio a bit with friends then it was back down to watch the dealers load in, and see who I ran into.
The line to get your badges and contest entry forms went almost all the way to the lobby!
Looks like this year is going to have a good turn out.
Ran into lots of friends, saw lots of cool stuff being hauled into
the dealers room, found out which room Cult was in so we could stop in
and visit.
Even saw Scott and Jason. It was strange seeing Scott actually early
enough to set up on a Friday. Usually he never rolls in until the
dealer's room is already closed
and has to do it in the morning.
After the line shrunk considerably, I got in it and got my stuff, then headed back to the room.
After that, we went to dinner at our favorite pizza place nearby. Hometown Pizza
This time we had company. Russ and Bill went with us (Bill drove)/ This
was Bill's first WF and Russ had never been to the place before.
Both were happy with the food and the ambiance.
When we got back, I filled out my contest entry forms, so that would be done. Then it was down to the meet & greet.
There
weren't many people in the room, and not a lot on display either. We
visited for a while then hung in the lobby, and at the entrance where
dealers were still loading in.
Then it was up to the Embassy to hang out and drink until roughly 3 AM.
Britny and others were still going, but I wanted to be up early to get my entries hauled down.
