Satan's Pit |
|
| Just getting started on the seems right now. |
![]() Still working on the seams on the body, but while I work on that I got some work on the base done. Washed, primed, then I hit the rocks with black and the bottom part yellow. This base is lots of fun to spray paint. So many deep cracks and texture to get the paint into without going too heavy or thick. |
![]() 4 years later, I finally start pinning this together. A little out of practice, hence the gaps. |
![]() A little putty and sculpting a bit of texture and we are ready to go. |
![]() After 3.5 years I pulled this one back out too. Gave it a new base coat. Highlighted from below with white, then shot from below with yellow. |
![]() I even worked on the little tiny Doctor Who I'd give you the blow-by-blow but there really wasn't much to it. ![]() Honestly, the hardest thing was making the pots look like they glow. That was white, then yellow ink. Then white again in the middle, and more yellow ink. Then a wash at the top and bottom. Then some streaking wash after that. |
![]() I noticed the yellow wasn't showing well from the angle the kit would be viewed from, so I added a bit more from a less severe angle. |
new ![]() Refined a lot of details. Especially the mouth and the eyes. |
![]() Some pastel work the bring out the skin folds and other details, especially in the face. |
![]() I had to wait for some necklace parts to come in, so I would have rings to attach the chain to the manacles. Once that was done, the kit was basically finished except for gluing the demon into place. |
![]() There it is, Really proud of this one. Finished pics can be found on this page. |
