| Just got this, got the clean-up done. Primed it gray. And gave it a tan basecoat. | ||

| Went over all the skin
with a very thin brown. Something of a cross between a wash, and a glaze. Then I darkend a few areas wtih some dark brown antiquing medium for shading and contrast. |
||
![]() Getting there, slowly. It's going to take a few coats on the headdress to get complete coverage. |

| Well, what I had going,
wasn't working. I tried masking and most of it lifted off
with the tape. So, I stripped it, and am starting all over again. |

Time to try a different approach. I sprayed the gold on the whole headdress.(left) Now I am blocking in the blue. First with some enamel. The shot on the right shows the first coat. Waiting for that to cure, then I will hit with a second coat. After that cures, then I will use the blue metalic acrylic I was using the first time. Hopefully, I will get better coverage that way. |

Finally! Done with the stripes (more or less) Still need to take a marker and put some black lines in the grooves to deliniate the transitions better, and hide the minor variations. Wish I would have had Reaper paints the first time. Nice, full coverage in one coat. Then I went over it with the metalic blue. |

A little black marker goes a long way
towards cleaning up the transitions. A little shading with a
few other colors of brown. |
