The legs pivot. Also comes with extra sets of all the legs for different looks.
Nice little kit. Enough detail to be interesting and looks good.
The '72 version is the most sought after. It has a much bigger box, and comes with the second base piece.
No matter which version, a complete kit does pretty good.

Notice the different box sizes in the picture. This is because the original 71 only came with one base. Later versions came with 2 base pieces. So this one had a much more drastic box size change than the other 71 issues did. Also, the snake was removed from the box art as well.
This model comes with 4 exta legs for a total of 8 to give the builder a variety of options for poses. I have enough parts to build 2 complete kits, each with different legs. One will have the 2 part base, while the other will have just the single base.
A nice little kit with plenty of variety of build-up choices. I finished mine first one with the 2 part base and the "raking" legs.
The legs are the only movable pieces on this model.
