Got up around 9, grabbed a bite to eat, got dressed and headed out to see what was going on.
The line for the dealers room wasn't really that long.
I hung around and visited with people in the hall, in the lobby, and
outside. Just after 10 I headed to Dealer B figuring I would look
around there and avoid the big crowd in the main room.
Saw some cool stuff. Said hi to Anthony and Rocko who had their tables beside each other.
Then
I headed into the main room for a first pass. I made a straight shot to
get a bust that was brought for me to buy. Made a few rounds of the
room, seeing what was available, and chatting with people I knew.
Picked up te animated Godzilla from Jason then headed back to the room
for a bite of lunch. Leftover from last night's visit to Hometown Pizza.
It was packed but I manged to look at (and photograph) a couple or rows of tables. I head outside for a bit of a break, then go back to the dealers room to really look things over now.
That is how I spent the rest of the show day. Alternating between the dealers room and the contest room. Taking some pics and stopping in the display rooms to check that out as well..
When I ordered, the site said about 30 minutes. Then later it updated to 50 minutes. Then later it updated to 90 minutes.
I went out to the patio to have a smoke and bitch about it. Arsenal had had issues with Dominoes the night before, with the page not updating that their food had been delivered to the lobby .
I decided to just cancel the order. Went back to my room to figure out how to work the phone in the room and call Dominos. But then the page said the food was done and out for delivery. So I went down to sit outside and wait for it.
I took my tablet with me to follow the progress.When it got to under 2 minutes until delivery, it suddenly just got canceled
I said screw it. Got in my car, and went down the road and got food at Charlies. When I got back, I saw a cluster of camping chairs in the back of the lot. I finally found Tim, Rusty, Matt, and Mike. Was wondering why they weren't in their usual
spot on the patio.Seems none of them could get a patio room this year.
Went to my room and finally ate. Then I got out and started making rounds agin. This time adding in some stops in the parking lot as well.
Which is where I happened to be when it came time for the group photo.
Finally I had to go back up to my room for another beer. Went wandering from there. Made a swing up to Cult's suite, but the door was shut. Found him a bit later, still outside talking to people who were still gathered by the back doors.
I ran into him again later, on the patio with Arsenal . Which is where I wrapped up my night at around 3 AM again.
