Considering the hour I went to bed, I woke up at a decent hour. Around 9. After a shower and food I was feeling great.
Then I did something I haven't done in a few years. I took in a couple demos in the morning.
First was Joes Sunday Mornging Dinosaur where he covered things like layout, pinning, putty, etc.
Then Annya's wood texture demo.
Time to go hit the contest room and see how I did as well as a few of the pieces I thought were really nice. I got merits on everything except the Teradrox that got a bronze.
Then it was back and forth between the dealers room and contest room, taking pics and visiting with people.
Then they closed the contest room so people could start picking up their entries.
This started a huge line of people trying to get their stuff. Which also emptied out the dealers room.
After that I hit the dealers rooms to check out a few more things. I had been very good and only bought a few things. After thinning my collection for most of the year I was being very selective on what I bought.
That said, there were a few things I was still considering purchasing. I was letting fate help me decide. A couple of items were already gone, so I knew those weren't meant to be. There were still a coupld I was considering though.
I finally decided to get the Gaborah from Kaiju Modeler.
I was still thinking about The Parts Pit from Danger Island Models but, by the time I got over there, they already had them all packed up.
Finally the time came for them to kick us out of the dealers room.
I had been doing all the driving this weekend so I didn't think I would be able to make it back to my usual gas stop on the trip home.
Then I took those down to the car so I wouldn't have much to do in the morning. This is my normal routine. Get all the little stuff taken care of before going out and having fun.
While loading the car I made a few stops to visit with the guys in the camping chairs.
Then I bounced around. Hitting the patio, finally getting to Cult's suite, and hanging in the lobby.
Finally ending up on the patio until the wee hours.
