THURSDAY
The trip was mostly uneventful.
Saw a few cops, had a bit of a slowdown before Cincy, and another one in Kentucky but still made good time.
What was strange though, was I never hit any rain. That is usually a
given. It will downpour somewhere along the way, but not this year.
Check in went as usual. Sadly, I didn't
get the patio again. At least I got 2nd floor,
but on the other side of the hall.
Saw lots of people I knew while unloading the car. Started unpacking
and set up the tablet to message my wife and let her know I made it
safely.

Also unpacked my contest entries and made sure there wasn't any damage.
Spent most of my time hanging out with the Tag-Team guys and several
others. Sadly no The Canadian
Embassy agaiin this year. Only 1 Canadian I know made the trek across the
boarder.
Luckily Ed and Jeannine of Arsenal Models got the room on the
patio right next to the door.So they took on the roll of embassadors
and did a most excellent job of it the entire weekend.
I hung out with people and caught up. Bouncing from roving the hotel to hanging in my room getting snacks .
Towards evening I met up with Steve from Danger Island Models to
deliver some things for him, as well as hang out and learn about some
of the stuff planned and in the works for PS add ons and such.
That got one large / heavy box out of my room and out of the way.
I popped into the upstairs theaters around 10 or 11 and AFM was still perfecting the set-up for the Friday classes.
Then I made my way down to the lobby. The seats were taken but I saw
some people I knew near the bar, so I stood their talking for a bit.
Then I ran into Cult there and was chatting with him as well.
I was down there waiting to see if I could catch Britny and Machael
when they got in sometime between 11 and 12, but somehow I missed them.
Not sure if it was when I ran back up to my room to get another beer
or what.
I bounced around a bit more and finally called it a night around 1:30 AM
As
you might be able to tell, I didn't take a lot of pics of people or
after hours. I was too busy just being in the moment to even think
about it. I did steal some of my daughter's pics that I will use later,
But you will see from the
other reviews that there won't be a ton of pics accompanying them.
