| I have a picture
of the Bill Lemon sculpt. It's from an
article that lists all his sculpts. I'm
trying to find the article so I can try
to track down who to ask if I can post
it. Sorry I can't show you, but I don't
want to get into any copyright trouble. I remember, the
first I had heard of this kit, was when I
first got online. I was searching the web
for anything about the kits that I
remembered from my childhood. I had found
John F Greens ( see my links page). When
I was looking through the PS kits he had
listed, I noticed a resin Stegosaurus
that was supposed to be based off the
original sculpt (don't know if it was
actually from the sculpt or just based on
it). I was just back into the hobby then
and had no interest at all in resin kits.
So I didn't note who it was from or any
other information that I could really use
now.

is based on the artwork.
I found in an auction on ebay..
It isn't from the original sculpt, and
has some obvious differences. It's from a
company called Alchemy. Looks really
nice. Everything I've heard about the
producer (Alchemy) has been very good.
**** Turns out,
that the steg from Alchemy is the same
one that Dave Cockrum helped Lunar Models
to produce. (thanks to Dave Cockrum for
that info)
Also, Alchemy is owned by Mike Evans,
former owner of Lunar Models. (thanks to
Ed Diceman for that piece of info)

*** Bad news. Alchemy was as
Wonderfest this year (2002). They had the
last casting from their molds for sale
there. Turns out the molds are shot, and
they aren't going to make any new ones.
The worst part was, I didn't have the
cash to buy it. Seeing it in person
really made me want to have one too.

Good News******
Talked to Mike at Alchemy this year at WF
(2006)
There is lots of interest in this model
again. Enough interest to warrant a
re-issue of it.
The only hold-up now, is that he doesn't
have anything to mold it from. His master
was lost in the fire they had a couple
years ago.
But he does have a line on a kit he can
borrow to make the molds.
There is no firm time frame, but he hopes
to have it back in production within a
year!
So start saving your money, because this
bad boy runs over $200.
So far, I haven't
found anyone who knows what happened to
the original sculpt. I have heard that it
was missing from the Aurora vault before
things were shipped to Monogram.
