| This is one of the later
issues, so you can see a little more detail and better
fit with the parts. Kind of on the smallish side compared
to some of the other kits in the series. Even with the
size, it is a very nice kit. It comes with a nice
detailed base that really opens up some options on how
you want it to look when done. I have seen some very
interesting paint combinations used on this. Everything
from extremely colorful to very muted and subdued. They
all look very natural and fitting, which makes this model
very versatile. Also has a place on the base where a tree
from the swamp can be added. I remember having this one as a kid. The color of the plastic really stuck in my mind. I do know that it has a 2 part base. The 79 Monogram only has one base piece. The '87 Monogram comes with both bases. Neither had the clear green parts. I know at least one of the Revell-Germany issues came with both base halves. The one with the glow paint and the black plastic. Revell 2007 issue only has the one base half. No idea about the other reissues yet. This is usually a pretty high priced model. Luckily, I found an affordable reissue. I already had the other base piece and the clear green parts. Unfortunately, the clear green parts I have are more of a olive color instead of the originals shown above. They came from the Revell-Germany Anklosaurus. The legs move, tail swings back and forth, tongue, jaw, and head all move up and down. |
